Reading Rainbow, Blog Edition

You do remember the tv show, right? And who could forget LeVar Burton? I can still hear the intro song in my head with the little rainbows springing out of books and dancing across the screen.

Sadly, the show is off the air; however, reading recommendations need not end. My friend Verna is an educator who has a passion for literacy. From that vantage point, she writes the Reading Rainbow blog, reviewing literature that might not always get the mainstream attention it deserves.
