action verb girls

Eve Ensler gives an incredibly empowering talk in the TED video below, not only for women but for men also. (Oh my gosh, did you just catch what I did? I made the assumption that since the talk is by a woman than obviously a man wouldn’t benefit from hearing it.) She has personally lived the premise that you can use your own talents and skills to affect the world you live in. A writer, actor, and playwright, Eve wrote The Vagina Monologues, which received international acclaim. From that production, she eventually formed an organization called V-Day, which actively fights violence against women all over the world. After watching this worthwhile video, men and women alike should want to “embrace [their] inner girl.”

This talk is so powerful in many ways, but the one thing I appreciate is the validation she gives women. She turns all of the stereotypical, negative attributes of women on their head.
